The procedure given below would work ONLY if you are connected to the NTU network (either through LAN or Wireless). However, if you are not connected, you could download and install the NTU VPN software, which allows you to use the Internet to connect to the NTU network.

This post serves as a guide to all NTU students who want to use their NTU Mail on Microsoft Outlook.
1) Open Control Panel -> Mail.

2) Click on "Show Profiles".
3) Now click "Add". In the new dialog box, give a name for the profile (eg)Mail NTU.
4) Select the "Manually Configure server settings or additional server types" and click NEXT.
5) Select "Microsoft Exchange Server" and click NEXT.
6) Enter "MAIL24.student.main.ntu.edu.sg" as the Exchange Server.
7) Enter # followed by your name and followed again by # in the "User Name" text box (eg) #BIJU JOSEPH JACOB#
Click "Check Name" in order to verify. Your name will be underlined once it is verified.

8) Click on "More Settings ..." and then go to the "Connections" tab.
9) Select the "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP", and click on the "Exchange Proxy Settings" button.

10) Fill up the details exactly as shown above and click OK.
11) Now click "Apply" and then click on "OK".
12) Click NEXT and then FINISH.
13) Launch Microsoft Outlook and enter your NTU username and password. (For your user name enter "student\" before entering your username).

I had one bad problem with damaged mails and me helped-how to view ost files.This tool I found in inet and as far as I know it is free.But moreover utility can recover *.ost files, when Microsoft Exchange Server gets out of order and your data may be lost.
